Kindergarten (LKG & UKG)
Our Kindergarten program at Sacred Heart School provides a warm, safe, and engaging environment for young learners. Through play-based learning, storytelling, activities, and interactive teaching methods, we focus on developing early literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social values. Our LKG and UKG curriculum nurtures curiosity, creativity, and confidence, ensuring a smooth transition into primary education.
Creative arts, music, dance, rhymes, and storytelling are given prime importance in the Kindergarten curriculum. A variety of innovative teaching methodologies such as puppets, models, flash cards, action songs, rhymes, and interactive classroom activities are used to make learning enjoyable and effective for young learners.
Apart from classroom learning, children are taken on carefully planned field visits where they are exposed to sensory-motor skills, developmental games, and learning models. These activities help enhance curiosity, observation skills, and overall cognitive development.
All religious, national, and international days are celebrated both in classrooms and across the school campus. These celebrations help children understand cultural diversity, traditions, and values, while also creating awareness and respect for all religions and communities.
The classrooms are well-equipped with developmentally appropriate resources including child-friendly furniture, storage racks for personal belongings, learning and teaching materials, toys, play equipment, and display boards. Each classroom features state-of-the-art Digital Smart Class technology to promote visual-based learning. Interactive teaching methods ensure that students remain actively engaged and involved at all times.
The spacious outdoor space is provided for the vigorous movement and free ply, catering to the safety of children. It is equipped with essential play material to enhance gross motor skills.

It enables simple, practical, and meaningful use of technology to make lessons more interactive and effective.
Smart Classes operate through a unique delivery model where a centralized Knowledge Center is connected to classrooms via the internet. Teachers access high-quality digital resources such as animations, educational videos, and interactive virtual lab tools, integrating them seamlessly into their lesson plans during every classroom session.
Each classroom is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure including custom-designed electronic interactive boards, projection systems, computers, and uninterrupted power supply (UPS). This advanced setup transforms learning into an enjoyable experience while significantly enhancing students’ overall academic performance.

Evaluation & Assessment
Sacred Heart School follows the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system for Classes I to IX. This assessment approach focuses on improving student performance by identifying learning difficulties at regular intervals from the beginning of the academic year, thereby strengthening overall learning outcomes. The CCE framework offers flexibility for planning academic schedules based on prescribed guidelines. It is designed to reduce academic pressure on students while promoting a balanced and meaningful learning experience within the school environment.
Under the CCE system, students are evaluated through both Formative Assessments (FA) and Summative Assessments (SA). Formative assessments are conducted throughout each term and include class participation, projects, discussions, life skills, arts, and sports activities, encouraging holistic development.Formative assessments contribute a total of 40 marks and are evaluated by teachers based on continuous student engagement and performance. Summative assessments are written examinations conducted at the end of each term, carrying a total of 60 marks. Both Formative and Summative assessments are conducted three times during the academic year. The cumulative scores are converted into grades using a 10-point grading scale. The CCE system closely resembles a semester-based evaluation model, ensuring consistency and clarity in academic assessment.
