Student Life
At Sacred Heart we are committed to the idea that school life is ‘more than curriculum’. Extra-curricular activities, pastoral care and support services are all vital threads in the fabric of school life.
We encourage students to take an active part in all the cultural, sporting and extra-curricular events – and we provide the support necessary for each child to balance the demands of academics and the extra-curricular activities
In a free society, every individual has both the right and the responsibility to make choices and decisions. We are here to steer our students in the right path and teach them to balance various aspects of their lives and achieve great heights. With the student services offered at Sacred Heart, every individual is trained to be competent to choose among the myriad alternatives that are available to them.

House System
Sacred Heart School has 4 “Houses”, named after four of the primary colours, which are: Red, Blue, Green & Yellow. Each House has a dedicated House Leader and Student Leader.
Sacred Heart School is a community of learners and the House system aims to reflect the core values of the school.
The House system aims at giving students the opportunity to identify their individuality and to feel a sense of ambition and achievemnet in a supportive and secure environment. The Houses system encourages positive competitive spirit and a great rapport between students and teachers. They also aim at helping the newest members of the Scared Heart community to adapt to the culture of the School.
The Houses compete in a number of sporting, academic and cultural events for points. Each year the winning House receives the winners’ shield and other prizes.
The House system is an integral and vibrant part of the school’s culture. The House system is designed to reflect and enhance the values of the Sacred Heart School as they are described in the charter.
The core values are explained as self-development, intellectual empowerment and life-long learning within the diversity and strength of our community. The four ‘cornerstones’ of Sacred Heart School are learning, tradition, respect and quality co-education. Together, these ideals make the core values, philosophy and ideology of the school achievable.
Sports
Participating in sports activities is a great way for students to achieve a ‘mind-body balance’. Sports is essential to keep students healthy and happy. Sacred Heart encourages students to take advantage of the wide range of sports activities that are available to them.
Skilled staff and friends of the school assist students in various sports activities. We also benefit from having effective School Sports Clubs run by parents to help develop the sporting opportunities for our students. Of course, for those who excel at sport there are significant competitive opportunities available through the school.
Should you have any questions regarding sport feel free to visit our Sports Co-ordinator, at the Gym office or phone in at this number: 07 827 5415 ext. 866.
